This pattern was created for Yarnbox Socks, May 2016.
A top-down sock with traditional heel flap and rounded toe, decorated with delicate interwoven cables in a repeating pattern. There are three sizes available, with modular side panels accommodating these. The sample is shown in the medium size, and uses Forbidden Woolery Gluttony Sock in the ‘Springtime in Paris’ colour way.

Customisation
Sizing
The pattern comprises two distinct cables; the central motif is worked over 24 sts, and the cabled side panels vary depending on the size of sock knitted. A smaller sock (worked over 48 sts) can be obtained by omitting the side cables entirely, please note that this would require adjustments to the heel and toe. Likewise, a larger sock (80 sts plus) could be created by adding additional stitches to the side panels and working these in pattern. Additional yarn may be required for larger sizes.
Leg Length
A shorter length can be obtained by only working rounds 1- 38 of the leg. For a longer length, rounds 39-60 can be repeated. Additional yarn may be required for longer lengths.
Foot Length
The foot is worked in first in pattern, and then in stocking stitch for the remainder and the toe. For a shorter foot length, the decreases for the toe can be worked at the same time as the pattern. In order to maintain pattern integrity, they should not be started before round 34 (32, 32).
